As a nonprofit leader, would you like to know when other
nonprofit organizations are planning special events for the next
1-3-5 years so you can best plan your events? |
NorthSky is introducing the nonprofit organization Planning Calendar!
Finally, there is a mechanism to help coordinate planning for events and conferences in the nonprofit sector in our region. The Planning Calendar is a collaborative regional planning tool to enhance coordination within the nonprofit community without adding more work for your staff. The calendar is a tool for the region's nonprofit organizations to share information regarding dates and types of events without going through the hassle of losing hours calling around to find out if your date is clear. If your organization is planning a special event we invite you to submit it for posting by visiting the Planning Calendar at northskynonprofitnetwork.org. There is a button at the top of the calendar to submit events for posting at no cost.
We are launching this tool in response to requests from nonprofit leaders to help reduce the amount of time spent coordinating the dates for special events in our region. Some nonprofit organizations have experienced challenges with the success of their event when inadvertently it was scheduled at the same time as another event with the same potential market. The value of this tool will only be realized if nonprofit organizations use it to facilitate regional planning so we hope to hear from you. The Planning Calendar does not replace the local area Community Calendars which are excellent means of promoting your event. As there are several calendars in our region, we are providing links to those that we are aware of under the Connecting with Community, Community Calendar button on the NorthSky website at: northskynonprofitnetwork.org. If you are aware of community calendars that are not included, please let us know so we can add them to the listing.
We invite you to begin using the Planning Calendar and to share this tool with your colleagues so they may use it too.
We are always interested in ideas to help the nonprofit sector so please continue to share your ideas with us.
