NorthSky Nonprofit Network Distributes $49,305 to 14 Nonprofits in Northern Michigan
June 2, 2008 --- TRAVERSE CITY, MI --- NorthSky Nonprofit Network, in partnership with Michigan Nonprofit Association and five management support organizations throughout the State of Michigan, are delivering training, technical assistance and sub-grant awards to Michigan nonprofits, through a program titled, Michigan NOW. The initiative is supported by a three-year federal Compassion Capital Fund designed to help build the capacity of community-based and faith-based organizations with budgets of up to $500,000 per year. Between the partners, $232,172 in capacity building resources will be distributed to 52 nonprofit organizations. The organizations will use the Opportunity Grants and Technical Assistance to build capacity in the areas of leadership, organizational development, prgram and revenue development, as well as comunity engagement. NorthSky Nonprofit Network and Michigan Nonprofit Association Create Stronger Nonprofits with Federal Funding
LANSING, MICH, December 5, 2007 – The Michigan Nonprofit Association has received a Compassion Capital Fund Grant for the Michigan Nonprofit Organizations Work! (Michigan NOW!) program. Nonprofits Receive Industry-Specific Business Counseling
TRAVERSE CITY, MICH, August 13, 2007 - In an innovative and unique partnership, NorthSky Nonprofit Network and Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) have joined forces to provide free business counseling to nonprofit organizations. NorthSky became an official satellite office of the SBTDC on July 1. Kellogg Grant Increasing NorthSky Nonprofit Network’s Impact
