  • Tackling the Top of the Donor Pyramid: Creating a Planned Giving Program

    • Planned giving can be the most complex of fundraising strategies. From the various financial instruments that can be employed to delicate discussions with prospective donors and their heirs, it can be a tough for even the most seasoned fundraiser. During this session, we will discuss the range of financial instruments, how to implement a planned giving committee, how to recruit technical experts to support your program, how to communicate about planned giving, and how to approach prospective donors and their heirs about estate plans. Entry to advanced-level practitioner.
Directions to the University Center:

Coming from the east on M 72:Turn left at the Acme Stoplight onto US 31. At the 7th light, just past the NMC main campus, turn left onto Garfield Avenue. At the 6th light turn right onto South Airport Road. At the 3rd light turn right onto Cass Road. The NMC University Center sign is on the right, about 1/2 mile from the light.

Coming from the south on M-37/US 31: Head north on M-37/US 31 into Traverse City to the large intersection at South Airport Road (near the Grand Traverse Mall). Turn right onto South Airport Road. At the 3rd light turn left onto Cass Road. The NMC University Center sign is on the right, about 1/2 mile from the light.

Coming from the north on Grandview Parkway: Turn left on Cass Street. Continue on Cass through 4 lights and around large curve. The University Center sign is on the left.
